I’m Brian, and photography has always been a passion of mine for as long as I care to remember.   In my early years, my first ever film camera was a 35mm Olympus Trip which I absolutely loved.  When I did eventually turn professional back in the 90’s, I moved up to a 120mm Bronica medium format camera as this suited  my workflow to meet the demands and requirements of my clients. 

Now, I’m strictly a hobbyist photographer and YouTube content creator just for the pleasure of it and not for profit.  

My reasoning for this is simple; I already have a full time career outside of my photography interests and  this takes up a lot of my time, it’s a career that is very demanding and carries a fair amount of pressure, responsibility and an on-call commitment.  

I feel that if I were to monetise my hobby it would turn into a job and place a further demand on my time.  I make images because I enjoy doing so, its my way of relaxing and taking some time out from a very busy lifestyle.

Today, I shoot and edit digitally, where I still apply the same photographic principles; that being the process of visualising and creating an image to convey a feeling, emotion, or even just as a record of my time spent at a location.
